Show BLOODMOBILE TO VISIT MILFORD NEXT MONDAY The Red Cross Bloodmo-bile Bloodmo-bile will call at Milford for its semi-annual drawing next Monday, June 4th. The unit will be set up in the all-purpose room at the Elementary School, from 3 to 7 p. m. Since the last drawing, according ac-cording to Mrs. Jacqueline Williams, Beaver County Hospital Hos-pital superintendent, 48 pints of Red Cross whole blood have been used in the local hospital and an unknown quantity by Beaver County citizens in other hospitals. Beaver County is also indebted in-debted to the Red Cross for gamma globulin being used at regular intervals by from two to six Beaver County children. Each dose of gamma globulin, Mrs. Williams pointed out, requires re-quires several pints of blood for production. This leaves our community commun-ity with the responsibilitiy of donating a minimum of 75 pints of blood next Monday. Summer months are notorious notori-ous for poor donor turn-outs, so everyone is encouraged to make a special effort to keep their Date to Save a Life. The ESA Sorority ladies are conducting a telephone campaign to line up donors, and the Grey Ladies, Nurse-Ettes, Nurse-Ettes, hospital staff and others will fill voluntary staff positions posi-tions during the drawing. |
