been a teacher and diligent worker in the springville Spring ville relief society for years she lived a most exemplary life and died in full fall hope and certainty of a glorious resurrection she and had bad endeared himself to all who knew him like david of old he manifested a spirit to become a man after afier gods goda own heart had he tarried longer but as death plucks the brightest of our our jewels 00 the little man david fell a prey to his ruthless power and his parents brothers sisters relatives and friends are left to mourn his loss to keenly feel as the days and months pass that there to is a vacant chair at home bome abroad everywhere they go and an aching void in the heart that never can be filled until the resurrection morn when there will be a joyous meeting a reunion of the loved and lost vever i ever more to part oh who can paint such a picture whose tongue describe the rapture of this endless reunion may time soften the sharpness and bitterness of their grief and sorensen who depar departed teci abi life on the of june 1896 after an fil nesi nes of about eighteen months was born in veve county denmark on the bolh of march 1820 he wee was the fourth son eon of soren boren hansen he married kirsten larren november 20 1851 and with his wile wife embraced the gospel on the ath of march 1861 he emigrated grated to 14 utah in 1874 the year previous having ent at live five of his children the youngest ot them being but eight years yearn of age the parents dedicated them to their heavenly fathers care with the hope of meeting them again which was realized the year following himself and wife with two small children arrived in utah july 17 1874 he first lived in cottonwood six months then moved to mill creek where he remained one year when he removed to panguitch and remained there about one year he went on a visit I 1 10 0 Or derville and while anile there he felt he be could live nearer i to the lord should he join the order he accordingly did so moving his family there except three sons who had bad moved to other places faiell in february 1877 he remained faithful in that braer order until it broke up he has labored in the temple for his hia dead relatives and received his own blessings he was a hard working and an industrious man willing to do his share in the work his donations and tithing etc he was ordained a high priest on the ath dinst he was always anxious to serve the lord and overcome the fai failings lingi that mortals have to contend with he died faithful faith lul in the cause of truth leaving a wife seven children and many friends to mourn his loss loaa F L P WILLIAM W ALLEN on july 6 1896 william W allen alien of N nephi eph of old age born july 26 1819 at le leominster m inte r herefordshire Hereford shire england joined the church of jesus christ of lat ter day saints august 1840 was baptized by elder john squires emigrated to 10 utah in the year 1851 he was a t traveling raveling elder in england and wales for nine years previous to coming to this thir country after having lived in salt lake city for ome kome i time he moved to provo in the year 1855 he ae was called to fill a mission to texas at the time of the move he was called home he started the first sunday school jn in provo he labored for several months as mason on the st george temple moved to nephi in may 1876 1875 worked on the manti temple to us its near completion was released on account of sickness was one ot of the presidents of the forty ninth quorum ot of seventy for many years afterward was ordained a high prie t he has been a sunday school officer nearly ever since he has resided in nephi he attended meeting last thursday bore a faithful testimony leu and assisted tte the bishop in confirmation of those being baptized the day dav before brother allen alien filled every position in the church with dignity and honor he leaves leaven five sons and one daughter and fourteen fourte eu grandchildren he buried a wife and child in the ocean his latter laiter wile wife preceded him about eighteen months ago funeral services were held in the south ward chapel the speakers were elders W and J W J jenkins sister send you herewith a short sketch ot of the life of sister jane V F lint cameron of this place she left here june last in company with her sons david and william and wives to visit heir daughter who live at thurbur in ill wayne county after a very ver v pleasant journey they reached their destination on the sunday alunday the she was taken violently ill with pneumonia and on the passed peacefully to rest ro sad intelligence to this place with the request that the family faintly prepare the clothing etc lor for the funeral the body was packed in ice and the grief stricken children star started Davi dLewis lewie was married to 10 job bohri T richards Kic hards april they emi em migrated to 10 the united states in 1850 atop ped iu in st louis mo two years and half she was the mother ol of two children while living in st loula louis they he emigrated to utah in ika 1853 in capt Cros bys company and stopped I 1 is the 19 h ward salt lake city one of the chil childeree deren born to them I 1 in ca at sty louis died the morning after afier their r a ar rival in salt lake city the other di died three days later in 1855 they moved to ogden lived there till the spring 0 of 1860 they then moved to littleton morgan county they had three chill chil dren born to them in littleton two girla girl and one boy sister richards was stricken the dropsy in 1886 and was confined to her bed the most of the time until her death at times she was a gr great sufferer but wag waa patient through it all living in full faith of the promises of the be t gospel she had great faith in the resurrection she was a faithful wife a kind affectionate mother a wort won by CiLi citizen ZeD and was much beloved and respected by all who knew her the death of her son alma alm P richards who was killed in 1888 while upon a mission in the state of mississippi added much to her sorrow during her heir 9 sickness the whereabouts of her sony sons body after he be was killed was not known for near eleven months mocha which caused her great grief she leaves a husband 71 years of age two daughters dau 9 litters and twelve grandchildren with a host hoist of friends frienda who mourn her death sho she was 79 y yeara ears of age lacking four days the funeral services were held in the stake meeting house bouse on june ard 1896 at 2 p m where comforting and consoling words were offered by a number ot of the
