Show OBITUARY OF SIDNER B KENT oil 11 december decem er alth t t the ie mortal morta remains of the late sidney biant pioneer of 1848 were laid to rest it in the family plot at the lewiston cemetery death came peacefully to this great colonizer and friend of all december 8 1914 at a in surrounded by loved ones and friends who dedicated his remains to god all that friendly hands and lovin loving care could do was done but it was the will of god and that great spirit was called home to join loved ones on the other side ills his death was due goold to old ago age and general debility ills his life has been a useful one and his name will live among men as one who loved all men and and whose life was one long line of usefulness and helpfulness to all funeral services were held in the lewiston third ward chapel presided over by bishop T the choir rendered beautiful music and the speakers eulogized the life and character of the deceased in a most touching e manner the speakers were president wad coups an old time friend and ardent admirer of the deceased ile he spoke of his early acquaint acquaintance ence with bro gent bailhe SaiJI ie had always found him faithful to every devoted wives twelve sons and six daughters remain to mourn his loss one wife and twelve children having preceded him to the grave sidney B kent was born bom near akson portage t county Ohio Aug ile he was the oldest or of a family of five children born to samuel kent and sarah jane stanley ills his father and grandfather were of the good old new england stock having been born in the state of connecticut lie ile was a of an enn english lish house whose history can be traced back to 1228 and three families of whom came as early colonizers of of the new en england land states slates men of missouri to bring 0 his mother and family ti zion ile he had a hard and tiresome journey but arrived at his destination safely lie ile spent the winter of 1854 and 1855 5 in in preparing pre aaring t means for conveying r his mother and family to salt salt lake and in the spring of 1855 lie he began bean his third journey across the trackless plains and in m july 1855 arrived again amon among his loved ones and friends his responsibilities grew as his family increased increase and now having his mother and family to provide fir it required more effort ile he soon built them a home and made them comfortable ile he was married a second time to emeline horne home in 1857 lie ile moved south as far as springville Spring ville utah when johnsons army came and here a shed of brush served him as a home in 1865 be built a home for his second wife at farmington lie ile was again married to ceressa rose reynolds december 7 1867 in 1867 lie he moved to cache alley and thus he be was again under the necessity of building buil ning another another biome ionic two of his families famili families cs came to cache valley hut but his first wife and family lived at bountiful he was called upon to part with his loving 0 wife mary who died in 1887 he was a pioneer in the strictest sense of the word A man 0 of f strength full of faith in god and his fellow men trusty truthful and loved by
