Show am Wednesday Nov 20 1974 Concert Review III Page by Kent Perry Fleetwood Mac by Kent Perry Staff Reporter Before a crowd of 2200 Fleetwood Mac demonstrated Friday what the real Fleetwood Mac can do in concert in the Fine Arts Center The goup had arranged the performance to remove the bad taste left in everyone’s mouth when a counterfeit Mac toured the area a few months ago The British group relied heavily upon hard rock pieces occasionally dipping into a blues number or two They featured Mick Fleetwood on percussion John McVie on bass Bob Welch on lead and Chris McVie on keyboards sharing vocals with Welch The group was supplemented with Doug Graves on some additional keyboards The concert was highlighted by some individual performances by each member of the quartet Fleetwood did a drum solo that was outstanding and one of the better remembered pieces of the gig- - Personally I would have liked have seen more of the keyboard work of Ms McVie I was disappointed that her piano more was not playing prominantly portrayed The audience also was pleased withJhn dueling guitar effect to produced by John McVie and the white-suite- d Welch It seemed like the duo were trying to out-d-o each other on their respective guitars Welch the group’s only the American provided on information each background a addedand number tenor to the evening philisophical with his explanations I really liked his work on the guitar “Black Magic Woman” “The -V pA - Triangle” “Future Games” “Born Loser” and “Put Your Hands Over Your Face” were some of the numbers featured in the concert along with some cuts from Fleetwood’s new album ‘Heroes Are Hard To Find” Mick Fleetwood j Di 9?
