Show Editorial W6th this issue, The News Bulletin is born. It marks another milestone in Sugar House newspaper history, which, to say the least, hasn't been consistently successful. But that is in the past, and the successes and failures can now be cast into the limbo, and you citizens and businessmen can glance for the first time at a new product and watch its future and growth right along with your own. It is our aim to make this new product, The News Bulletin, a readable, saleable, informative, factual and a useful product. We came to Sugar House and bought it beause we had faith in the community and because we sincerely believe there is a need in Sugar House for a community publication, airing the needs, the amibitions, the good and the bad and certainly printing ALL THE SUGAR HOUSE NEWS we can lay our typewriter on in the years to come. We come to publish without prejudice or favor; we come to give expression to your and our impressions; we come to be constructive and positive; we are here to give you the best possible service our years of exprience, our talents, our will to do, can accomplish. We will strive to be tolerant, but we also must be strict to the principles of good newspapering. We are honest and we are fair, but withal, no one can please everyone. So here and now, let it be known if we print only one side of a story and that displeases you, you may feel free to come in and give us your side or the other side of the story, and we'll do our best to print it the way you see it. And while we are getting acquainted (we've only had the paper in our possession a brief four day) we'll beg your tolerance and indulgence, and we'll bend every effort to settle in Sugar House to give you a workmanlike job with The News Bulletin. |
