Show Judge Jones Will Seek Re-election 'I i - I - " 1 S 1 i 1 r a I S t T,P-is Jones of the first judicial pourt, today announced nu,u.y to succeed him- t self at the coming fall elections. The judge is now completing his first term. He was formerly county coun-ty itLtoruey of Box Elder1 county for four terms, and city attorney of Brigham City. Outstanding litigation carried on by him while in private pract-j pract-j ice was his successful fight against again-st the Southern Pacific railroad at Washington to prevent abandonment aband-onment of the Promontory line In behalf of Box Elder county and sheep and cattle interests. I Since becoming District Judge 'in 1937 he has disposed of the business submitted to him with, sped and dispatch. Judge Jonos pledges himself to continue administering ad-ministering justice in the same non-partisan impartial manner, if reelected. During the past three land one half years although hundreds hun-dreds of final appealable orders I have been made by him, only a I small number of matters have been actually appealed, and or. those the percentage of error found by the Supreme Court has been very small. The judge, a native of Brigham City, resides there with his wife and ' three daughters. His name will appear on the Democratic ballot. |
