Show Page 4 SOUTH EAST INDEPENDENT Sugar House, Utah Thursday, June 20, 1957 June Brides Recites Vows I - " - ' ' ' ' , ' Lenroot - Gygi Rites Miss Aileen Lenroot, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lenroot, 2510 Lincoln Lane, became the bride of Wallace N. Gygi in the solemnity of the Salt Lake Tem-ple, Thursday morning. The newly weds will be feted at a reception this evening in the Holladay Stake Center. The bride will greet her friends in a traditional white wedding gown of lace and tulle designed by the bride. The gown was fash-ioned with empire waistline, from which the skirt swept to a Chap-el train, the fitted bodice was de-signed with Queen Ann collar, and long pointed sleeves which tapered to lily points at the wrists. Her bridal illusion veil fell from a pill-bo- x hat of lace and seed pearls. The lovely bride carried a bouquet of pink carnations and a steph-anot- is centered with a white or-chid. Miss Vera Anne Lenroot, sister of the bride, and Miss Lola Gygi, the bride-groo- ms sister and Miss Carol Merrill, have been bidden Johnson -- Payne Joining the ranks of June brides was the lovely Miss JoAnne Johnson. In a double ring cere-mony at the First Baptist Church, she was united in marriage to Glenn Payne, Friday, June 7th. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ray Johnson, 2751 Wilshire Dr. (2455 South.) The groom is the son of Rev. and Mrs. James P. Payne, 4872 Pop-lar Road. Rev. Payne performed the marriage. Attending the bride as matron of honor, was Mrs. Howard Mitch-ell and the other attendants were Mrs. Jack Gibson, Miss Phy-llis Rickman, Miss Mary Chipian, and with Miss Kathy Gipson act-ing as flower-girl- . Performing the duties of best man was Howard Mitchell, and the ushers were Allen Crews, Jack Gipson, Mike Berger, and Lawrence Mason. After a honeymoon in Yellow-stone Park, the couple will be at home in Salt Lake City. Horsley - Clayton In an LDS Temple ceremony Thursday, June 13, Miss Geraldine Horsley became the bride of James L. Clayton. The ceremony was performed by Harold B. Lee, "member of the Council of the Twelve Apostles. The couple was honored after the ceremony at a wedding break-fast at the Lion House. The hosts were the. parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest C. Clayton, 3118 Connor St. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. J. Wesley Horsley, 277 E. St. Attending the bride were Mrs. Norman D. Nelson, a sister of the bride, as matron of honor; with Mrs. John W. Horsley, Mrs. Paul W. Horsley, Mrs. Frank Madsen, and Bee Clayton serving as bridesmaids. Christina Nelson and Michelle were the flower girls. Best man was Craig Vincent, and those serving as ushers were Rich-ard Borg, Richard Clayton,' Mar-vin Melville, Maynard Sorcnson, John W. Horsley and Paul W. Horsley. After a honeymoon in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the couple plan to make their home in Salt Lake. Attractive Aileen Lenroot speaks vows with Wallace N. Gygi today. to attend the bride at the recep-tion. They will wear gowns of turquoise polished cotton and carry bouquets of pink rosebuds and Stephanotis. Mrs. Lenroot chose a dress of beige linen with green accessories for hr daughter's wedding and Mrs. G3'gi wore biege lace. The young couple will leave on a wedding trip to the Pacific Northwest. For traveling, the new Mrs. Gygi will wear a Persian mellon suit of linen with white accessories. They will return to make their home in Holladay. rStephens --Hewerdine In a marriage solemnized at the LDS Temple June 7, Leon T. Hewerdine claimed Nadine Step-hens as his bride. A wedding dinner was given for the young couple following the ceremony, and that evening a reception was given by the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. George B. Stephens, 4525 Wellington. The parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. Hewer-dine, 2117 E. 30S0 South. Miss Jean Clark was maid of honor for Miss Stephens, and the bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Stephens, Miss Carol Ann Harper, Miss Sherleen Killpack, Miss Ju-dith Lister, and Mrs. Michael F. O'Reilly. Dressed in lavender, Grace Lee Stephens and Shirley Killpack were the tiny flower girls. June Bride Just-we- ds Mr. and Mrs. Alan Olschewski will be feted at a wedding reception Saturday eve-ning, June 22 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. King, 1149 Bryan Ave. The bride is the former Patricia Ann Black. Bishop Lloyd Johnson officiated at the wedding rites June 1, in the Bryan ward. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred E. Olschew-ski, 1487 Edison Ave., are parents of the bridegroom. The bridegroom is a --student at the University of Utah and Mrs. Olschewski attended the Brigham Young University.
