Show Forestry Board Meet teet In Kamas Watershed conditions Sheriff George I Fishers Fisher's protection plan and the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District were wera discussed by the Utah Board of Forestry and Fire Control while In Summit County Friday May 8 The board left Salt Bait Lake City and proceeded up High Highway way 40 put past Kimballs Kimball's Junction and Park Fark City to the Peoa road down Brown Browna Canyon to Peoa and thence to Kamas where they held belli their quarterly business meeting In the Ghana Chanu Cafe Assistant State Forester Hart outlined Sheriff Fishers Fisher's plan and pointed out that since Morgan and Summit Counties are closely related as aa far tar as u topography and is la concerned and that both are In the legal boundaries of the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District the plan proposes joint action actton by both counties to provide adequate protection I The board approved the plan and gave Chief Forester authority to proceed as al I planned to purchase a four wheel drive tanker tanker which will be amortized I over a ten year ear period by the counties Involved The counties will also allO Jointly pay one one half halt of ot a deputy salary This action plus plu present working agreements should provide the county with better protection against destructive destructive destructive tive watershed fires The cost coat of the program was wal pointed out and mentioned that the proposed Damsite would create a lake lakeI 1 I engulfing valuable tax tas lands land a in Summit county the protection risk would be In Increased In creased and that the impounded water would not realize value in Summit county This unfair burden on the Sum Bum Summit mit county residents was discussed E E.
