Show DEATHS HARVEST two good young men laid to their last rest the funeral services over the remains of two excellent young men were held yesterday which were numerously attended and very im the first services took place in the lynne meeting house at eleven OCI OCk in the rooming morning over the remains of DAVID davin r THOMAS aponof son of bishop daniel F thomas who was killed by an accident on the C P R it on sunday oct 30 the meeting house was filled to inq it utmost capacity with friends of the deceased deemed and of the family who came to sympathize with them in their bereavement after singing bk by the choir and prayer by bishop sanford adf ord bingham the assembly n was addres addressed sod b by elder joseph hall presidents C Z middleton L J herrick D H peery and elder W B hutchins who spoke of the uncertainty of life the value of the knowledge knowledg e of the principles of eternal eterna life and the blessed condition of those who die in the lord as did the young man mail whose remains were about to be committed to their last resting place after benediction by elder C richards the funeral cortege which was full half a mile longbook long took up its slow march to ogden cemetery where the remains were interred deceased was born on dec cill 1861 and has always resided in weber county he ile bore an excellent character for being truthful honest industrious oledie nt and kind to his parents and his kindred at two clock pm the obsequies of ALBERT ALDERT KER were held in the mound fort electing house housew which hiell was also filled with friends of the deceased young man and hia his parents after the usual exercises of singing prayer was offered UD up by elder james taylor appropriate addresses addressee were then delivered by elder joseph hall crests L J herrick C F middleton and bishop david moore in which they bore testimony to the good character and reputation of bro barker and regretted his early demise as ho he was a young youn man ot of great promise who by US his upright conduct and integrity in all his relations with the people had won ivon their lasting people good wil will and af affection the speakers with the family odthe of the deceased in id their affliction but they felt assured the lord had taken their young youn brother to himself for a wise pur pose the funeral procession was very long theer bein being Labout about 30 vehicles containing frien friends who were anxious to pay their last respects to the manes of the youth with whom they had been so intimately acquainted quain ted some of them from his birth and whom they loved so byell ell in his life time albert barker was the eon of wm win and harriet barker he ile was born at north ogden may ilay 1861 his father is now on a mission to the united states and at present knows nothing nothing of the death of his beloved eon son w who has been the chief provider of the family during his fathers absence L up to the time he was confined to his sick bed from which he never again arose |
