Against Weber last Friday night in Ogden, the Sox Eider nine came from behind to nip the Warriors 15 to 8 in the contest with Logan High, last Monday afternoon at the local park, the Hivers were ahead 7 to 2 whpn the umpires called the game because of rain and cold winds. In the game with Weber at Afleck park last Friday evening, the Bees had to come from behind to overcome the eager Warriors 15 to 8. Weber took a fast seven to one lead at the end of the fourth frame, and things were in a bad way for the pep-les- s Hivers. But out of the clear of the night, Woodland lined a single over the infield, Wight and Hunsaker followed with crew hits, and the Bees dug-ou- t started to get on the nerves of the Weber chucker. After Oyler had drilled out a triple, the Hivers had tallied a total of five runs, and were again in the thick of the game. Again In the eighth, they pushed across five more runs that. put the game in their back pocket. The hapless Warrlprs tried hard In the sixth frame with only one run on a single by Belnap. , Rainy Day With only one game left to play, most of the pressure on the Hivers was off. They still had to defeat the Grizzlies, but the big share of the tension was gone and over. Harold Anderson started on the bill for the home team and went three Innings before giving In to Val Woodland who went the rest of the game. He gave up only one of the three bits that the Logan nine got in the contest. The weather was a bit questionable all day long, and about the sixth frame, the wind started coming in quite strong and then the rain followed.' After a time-outhe umpires called the game. Including both games, Phil Oyler topped all hitters for the Bees. He blasted out a total of five hits In eight trips to the plate In both games. Vard John-sowas next witty four for eight. Reese Whitaker had a perfect day at the plate in the contests. He socked out two for two in the Weber game and one for one in the Logan game last Monday.
