Tricia graduated from Manti High School and has been attending Snow College for the past year. Lynn also graduated from Manti High School and is employed in the Ephraim area. The children of Morris and Norma Nelson will honor their parents at an open house on Saturday, Sept 28 from 4 to 6 ).m. at their daughters home, 356 Sugar Leo in Bloomington, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They request no gifts, please. The Nelsons are natives of Called to Serve Sanpete County, where they were active in church and civic affairs. Morris operated a business in Ephraim prior to becoming a county freight agent for BPI. He was later transferred to Provo, and retired in 1981. Norma worked for the Forest Service 15 years, and also three years at BYU. After retirement they moved to St George. Their children are Craig (Phoenix), John (Albuquerque), The new couple plan to make their first home in Ephraim and plan to further their education at Snow College. Ephraim City residents reunion set for Oct. 12 in Salt Lake City The Ephraim Reunion Association is announcing their annual reunion on Saturday, October 12, 1991, at Distinctive Catering, 2700 S. 3rd E., Salt Lake City. The reunion is for anyone who has ever lived in Ephraim. Visiting will be from 5 to 6 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m., and entertainment following. Utah Marc Leslie Anderson called to serve in the Asorno, Chili Mission Marc Leslie Anderson, son of Lee and Judy Anderson of Manti, has been called to serve in the Asorno, Chili Mission. He will enter the Missionary Training Center on Sept 25, 1991. Marc is a member of the Manti Third Ward and will speak at their sacrament meeting on Sept 22. Curtis and Beth Marie Sorensen Curtis are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 19, 1941 in the Manti LDS Temple. They have lived most of their married lives in Aurora. They started out in the farming industry, then operating a sawmill in Wayne County; working a cattle operation in Arizona; then back to Aurora where Max worked for SUFCo Coal Mine for 20 years and Beth ran the Aurora Merc for 10 years. They also owned and operated the Star Theater in Gunnison Everyone is invited, there is no charge for the workshop.
