Walker And so It was I with a feeling of coming home homeI I again that he recently purchased the Patterson Mortuary and moved moved ed his family into the lovely lovely- home which is part of the business pre pre- miles I The new owner-manager owner of ot the I Walker Patterson Mortuary was wasI I born In Bountiful the son of ot Lee LeeR e R R R. and Hazel Walker As A. a tiny Uny boy he lived In Vineyard Vineyard Vine Vine- yard ard then moved to Marion Marlon I His Ilis father tether was a farmer and worked I with Dr Jon Jones a veterinarian in inthe t I Ithe I the county His Ils mother became I ill and so the family moved to I I r Served In Air Force I Bob as he is known to his I friends graduated from Springville Spring- Spring i ville High I School Then he ho spent two two years in the Air Force his I 1 duty taking him to Germany Upon his Ws return he attended BYU for two years Here he met Lola Mae Hoover whom he mar mar- ried in the Salt Lake Temple hIJ iff In J June ne 1049 Bobs Bob's oldest st brother Is a mortician mortician mor mor- In Spanish Fork and it it- was from him that Bob received his first interest in in in- inthis this field He lie attended the California College of Mortuary Science and graduated in 1950 For 2 years while attending the Y he was employed employ by theOra the theOra theOra Ora C Hatch Mortuary ry in Provo They later moved to Bountiful and he has served for 10 years years' as embalmer funeral director and supervisor for the Larkin Mortuary In Salt Lake City Active Church Member l Bob and Lora Loa Lo a Mae arc are both active ac d- e- e tive workers in the Church He lIe has worked in the tho for tor 15 years and was superintendent superintendent superintendent of ot the MIA in Bountiful at the time he he moved to Coal- Coal vile He was also in the Elders Quorum presidency Mrs Walker has worked for tor 10 years ears In the Primary Association and has been president of ot that organization They are parents of tour four children children children chil chil- dren Kraig 10 Connie 7 Mark 2 and Nancy 4 months The children are sharing their fathers father's la fa lathers lather's fa- fa ther's enthusiasm for life lite in a small community and have already already al already al- al ready made many friends Th The unanimous opinion of ot the the- hI family family- is that it Jt is good to get out of 01 the city Bob hopes to carry on the fine fine- reputation built up by- by his predecessor predecessor predecessor cessor M.
