Show THE "CASINO THEATRE." Such is the name by which the ole-gant ole-gant amusement place just erected on the west side of MaiD street by S. M. Duggius will be known. The structure is certainly a credit to our city and to Gunnison valley, its frontage being a massive ornamentation, ornamenta-tion, with a dazzling brilliancy of electric lights for night effect and a lobby approach at the main entrance truly grand and attractive. Tbe main hall, 46 by 55 has been finished without stage, being provided with comfortable opera chairs to seat 500 Deonle. conV9uientlv sloned floor and is modern heated. A ladieB' lavatory and toilet is provided and a sanitary drinking fountain installed at the main entrance of the building. Mr. Duggina has expended thus far on the building about $20,000.00. The stage addition and ornamental work yet to go in will run up the cost to about 535,000. January 13, 1913 has been chosen for the opening date for a regular course of picture shows until the stage is in. Next Monday, then, let there be a bumper house as a mark of appreciation ap-preciation for the enterprise the owner has showu in establishing a place of the character of the Casino theatre in Gunnison, Up-to-date in every respect, the Ca&ino affords a wide contrast to the place styled "opera house" we have been, accustomed accus-tomed to, and deserves unstinted patronage. |
