There wore friends from Salt Lake City Bingham, Provo, Payson and other cities. A beautiful birthday cake holding hold-ing 90 candles and surrounded with orchid-colored sweat peas made a pretty center-piece for the serving table. Granddaughters and grandsons grand-sons of the sisters served. An enlarged, en-larged, tinted picture of the twins made by Vernon Castleton, graced the piano and near it was a picture pic-ture of the guests of honor when they were eight years old. The entertaining rooms were made pretty for the occasion with lovely bouquets of summer flowers flow-ers many being sent to the honored hon-ored guests. Corsages sent by a grandson, Joe Cranmer and wife and others given by Dean Stewart were worn by the twin sisters during the day. It was a grand occasion for the two ladies, who enjoyed seeing their many relatives and friends and visiting with those whom they had not seen for a long time. They are believed to be the oldest twins in the State of Utah and among the oldest in the United States. |
