Show UNIVERSITY WINS STATE HONORS B. Y. Cs Lose to U. of U. 38 to 22 and Utah Men Cinch State Championship. Salt Lake, March 1. After playing with Coach Joe Jensen's Brigham Young college basketeers for an entire en-tire half last night, the University or Utah hoopsters came through with their usual Becond-half spurt and captured cap-tured the game 38 to 22. By winning this contest tho Crimson quint cinched the state championship. The first half was a listless period, the university starting the scoring Both teams loafed until almost the end of the half, when the B. Y C. quintet started a spurt. This suddeu reversal of form almost completely surprised the Utah men and the spectators spec-tators began to get worried over the outcome. Wright, the husky B. Y. C. center, scored three field baskets in succession and was in the game at all times. He was woefully weak at foul tries, however, and gave way in favor of Nielson, who scored five out of five attempts. The half ended with the teams tied, 15-15. Between halves, Yellmaster Dan Hunter predicted that tho "U" boys would conie back with their usual spurt In the second half and his prediction pre-diction came true. Coach Norgren's men seemed to enjoy the habit of taking tak-ing a whirlwind game in the laat half.
