Curtain time will be 7 p.m. for the two-a- ct performance. Parents and the public are invited. The operetta music was written by Dr. Margaret Joy and the book lyrics are and by Ruth Wilson Kelsey. The operetta is published by the Raymond A. Hoffman Company. The setting is springtime, just two weeks before the close of school. Everyone should be happy, but Maxine, although a wealthy girl, can not conquer arithmetic. IB I She is worried about it for her father has promised her a trip to Europe if she passes. In contrast to Maxine is Esther, a poor girl, who is a good student. Even though she has a pleasing singing voice, she will be unable to sing at the closing of school program because she does not have a dress to wear. Maxine sees an opportunity to get her to help her and offers Esther a new dress if she will slip her the answers. At first Esther is tempted, but refuses to be dishonest. She does, however, show Maxine how to do the work. A gala picnic ends the operetta in a merry way. The music will afford much pleasure for the whole family.
