This highly specialized training center in government and themes of Democracy, will be held at Utah State University in Logan, in June. Mrs. Wayman (Geneil) Win-sloAuxiliary president, took charge of the meeting in which impartial judges chose the four girls who will represent their school and community in this activity. The girls are Janae Powell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne S. Powell; Eula Ann Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Roberts; Marie Hardy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hardy, w, and Kathrvn Wine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Ralph Wing, all of Lehi. KATHRYN WING Miss Wing, age 17, carried an "A" average and is very ver satile in several fields. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is especially gifted in both music and dramatic per formance. Active in the Thespian Club, she has participated in the stage productions: "Peter Pan," "Oliver," "Alice in Wonder land." and "Music Man." She plays the violin and has parti cipated in the Utah Valley Youth SvmDhonv Orchestra for two years, and also in the All State Orchestra. She takes an interest is in all school activities,-analso active in the LDS Seminary, serving as president and vice president. Affiliated with the Fu ture Homemakers of America, she has served as unit vice president and is currently pre sident-elec- t. She is active in church affairs, she enjoys sewing and sports as extra interests. She has attended several music clinics at Brigham Young Univer sity, and plans to continue her studies there after her high school graduation. SOLDIERS OF HIGHEST TYPE He indicated that the basic reason for leaving is to provide an opportunity for new ideas and new experiences for the leaders and personnel within the unit. He felt that a younger officer should have the chance to serve as commander of the outstanding personnel in the Lehi unit. BANQUET AT 12:30 While the favored guests are enjoying the theatre, the committee members will be putting their final touches to the banquet preparation. The dinner will be served piping hot at 12:30 p.m. to a "Queen's taste," in the cultural hall at the Lehi Stake Center. CAPTAIN DEE RAY RUSSON Mr. and Mrs. Warren M. Russon of Lehi. He received his schooling in Lehi and at Brigham Young University. He received the Bachelor of Science degree in 1957, with a major in chemistry and engineering. In 1967, he attained the Master's degree at BYU, majoring in psychology and administration upon recommendation of the Battalion Commander of the National Guard.
