Moreton, manager of the 3. B. Moreton Insurance Company today had been named a member of the executive committee of the National Association of Insurance Agents. Mr. Moreton is the first insurance man from the intermountain region to receive the honor. There are eight members of the board from the United States at large. The Salt Laker was president of the Surety and Casualty Ass o- ciation of Salt Lake in 1933, and president of the Fire Underwriter's Association of Salt Lake the following year. Mrs. Tate is the mother of 14 to children, 13 of whom live honor her. In excellent health. she remains an active worker In the Salt Lake Temple, wher? she has served for eighteen years. She was born Dec. 9, 1834. in Tooele, to the late Patrlarch Philip De La Mare and Marie Chevalier. In She began hAr schooling the old tithing office- in Tooele. When shp was 19 she Was made president of the Retrenchment Association, now called the Y. W. T. A. on February 22. 1875 she the wife of John Williams Tate. They lived here until 1921, when they were called by Pres. Geo. F. Richards to work In the Salt Lake Temple. When the Relief Society was organized in 1877, Mrs. Tate was chosen as on of the trustees. In first 1904 she was chosen as counselor to Mrs. Barbara Gowans Bowen in the ward Primary. She held this position until the divihe-ca- Sound education 9f young people was cited by a noted traffic expert in Salt Lake today as "the best means of coping with the traffic safety problem." The expert was Gerry Lochner of Los Angeles, who last year was president of the Western Safety Conference and head of the' California motor vehicle traffic department. Mr.' Lochner, who came here. as field representative for Optimist International, will address members of the Salt Lake club of that organization Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Art Barn. it was announced by Fred L.
