Show Moon Radar Penetrates Surface NEW YORK. The temperature tempera-ture under the surface of the moon can now be read by radar. This was reported by a radio concern which did it during the last eclipse of the moon. The cold spell on the moon during the hours when the earth blotted out the sunlight was so terrific that six inches below the surface sur-face the moon was several degrees de-grees under freezing. The report said radar waves penetrated under the surface and showed that the moon's face is prabably ma'Je of dust. The radar used was a war-time war-time product made at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |
