Mrs. Joseph Larson, who spent a week at Salt ' Lake visiting with her sister, Mrs. L. A. Lauber, and attending attend-ing conference sessions, returned home Monday. . Nephi Gledhill, city recorder, was .among the throngs from Southern Utah attending the semi-annual conference con-ference sessions Saturday and Sunday. I LOCAL ITEMS j OF INTEREST W. G. Royiuhce, of the Roylance Bakery and Cafe, spent last week-end at Salt Lake on a combined business and pleasure trip. Miss Berniece Mansfield, who was a motor traveler to the capitol city Friday, returned Sunday evening. She was accompanied on her return by her mother, Mrs. M. S. Mansfield, who had spent a week at the capitol city visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Anderson were among those from Gunnison attending at-tending the 99th semi-annual conference confer-ence of the Latter Day Saints church held at Salt Lake last week. Byron Fjeldsted, the insurance writer, came in from his home at Loa last Friday and was a guest of relatives rela-tives for a few days here. Hyrum Christiansen, the merchant, and Jess Bartholomew, operator of the truck and bus line between Gunnison Gun-nison and Ephraim, atte nded the semiannual semi-annual conference session at Salt Lake Saturday and Sunday. ! Prof, and Mrs. Harold Bradley and j children motored to Salt Lake Saturday Sat-urday to attend conference. They returned re-turned home Sunday evening. Miss Iva Gribble, who spent last week visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Gribble, returned to Salt Lake Sunday afternoon. E. L. Fjeldsted was here from his home at Hiawatha last week-end, and was visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson. Miss Helen Hagan came down from Mt. Pleasant Saturday and was an j over-Sunday guest with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hagan. Miss Ha-gan Ha-gan is a student at Wasatch academy. A. E. Park, president of the Gunnison Gunni-son stake, Mrs. Joseph Willardson and j Mrs. E. L. Swalberg of this city, and j Mrs. Kate Larson, comprised a party i attending the conference at Salt Lake, i j Miss Betty Villard, a student at Westminster college, Salt Lake City, is spending a few day's vacation and is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Villard. Miss Beryl Bown, a student at the Agricultural college, Logan, came home Thursday and was the guest of i her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Bown ! until Tuesday. |
