Thomas Homer, who returned a week ago from a trip to California, says he visited Elks lodges in Los Angeles, Pasadena, San Diego, San Bernardino and other places and found in all great enthusiasm and expectancy regarding the National convention of the order to be held in Salt Lake next August. Mr. Alden of the San Diego lodge, and others, are making arrangements for the delegates from the southern part of California to come to Salt Lake on a special train and the bretliern from San Francisco, Sacramento and Bakersfield and the north have organized and will also have a train of their own. Altogether Mr. Ilomer says California will be well represented at the Grand lodge meeting.
