Show Clubs Miss Annabell Hales was hostess to a very nice bridge party Monday night. After serving delicious refreshments to twelve members and guests the group played bridge. Prizes were won by Ruby McMullin, Sara Bakes and Mildred Pickard. A patio party was planned but the rain late Thursday changed the plans so Vilda Smith entertained her bridge club inside. There were twelve members and guests who enjoyed refreshments and bridge. Those winning prizes were Ann Johnson, Ruby McMullin, Bertha Dalton and Thora Beeson. The Beaver Study Club was held at the home of Althea Low last Wednesday afternoon. Seventeen members were in attendance to hear a most interesting report on the book. "He Walked The Americas" by L. Taylor Hanson, reviewed by Naorhi Baker. The hostess served dainty refreshments. The Afternoon Bridge Club was entertained by Althea Low Dalicious. last Wednesday. shrimp salad and hot rolls were enjoyed by nine members and three guests. After a pleasant time of playing bridge the prizes were won by Mary Haney i and Helena McGarry. Hostess for the Better Homes Literary Club Saturday night (by candle-ligh- t, incidentally, due to power failure) was Margery Twitchell. Elaine Edwards reviewed a character from the Bible which they all enjoyed. Delicious refreshments were ser ved to sixteen members and guests by the hostess. COMIN'S And GOIN'S Camping out is one of the great joys of the summer season and the Dee Ritchie family took advantage of it for a fun packed vacation over the weekend. Accompanying them for this holiday were the Ben Lindsay family of Vernal. Mrs. LindThe say is Elizabeth's sister. group toured Zions Park, Glen Canyon Dam, The Grand Canyon and Jacobs Lake where they enjoyed a nice dinner and the museum with all of it's curiosities and indiah exhibits. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hutch-ing- s and three children of Fallon, Nevada have been visiting in Beaver with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hutchings and Mrs. Fern Church the past week. While they were here Bon nie and Fern spent a couple of days at Provo. Mrs. Delia Soule of Salt Lake City is visiting with her sister Mrs. C. A. Kirkham and other famly members. She plans on being here for about three week Mrs. Delmar Parkinson and children have just returned from a two week vacation trip to visit with several of hef children in the northern part of the state. At Logan they were the guests of a daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice (Sharon) LeFevre. While they were there they had a nice trip to Preston Republican Presidential Candidate Barry M. Goldwafer, left, and Vice Presidential Candidate, William E. Miller, right, discuss campaign strategy with Sen. Wallace F. Bennett center, at a Washington meeting. and attended the night rodeo. Mrs. Parkinson enjoyed visiting tin Logan Temple also. The LeFevre family are moving to Seattle, Washington where Mr. LeFevre has employment with the Boeing Aircraft Company. From Logan the Parkinsons came to Salt Lake where thy visited with Mr. and Mrs. Dale (Reva) Gates, Mr.'and Mrs. Var-nParkinson and Mr. and Mrs. William (Ardella) Ady and their families. el Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Parkinson and two children of San Diego have been visiting with Eugene's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delrrar Parkinson. Eugene is in the Navy and a member of the Medical Corp. Mrs. Vera Williams was a visitor to Salt Lake. Back home again after a whirl wind trip to Yellowstone Park are Mr. and Mrs. Alton Atkin and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Swindle hurst. They all had a glorious time Mr. and Mrs. Ray White of Yuba City, California stopped ir. Beaver to visit friends and relatives Monday. They were on their way to Provo and other parts of the state for a vacation of visiting and fishing. Ray is the son of Mrs. Belle White. Mrs. Inez Limb, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Limb of Cedar City were visitors at the Delmar Park inson home last week. A niece, Bonnie Kelsey of Bountful accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin (Doc) Osborne and son Bill of Long Beach, California are vistting with their mother, Lucy Osborne and their father Cy who is in the Milford Hospital. They report that 'Uncle Cy' is improving this morning (Monday). We hope he will soon be home. While they are here Doc and Bill will do some work around CHIT CHAT the home and lot that the have just moved into. House guests for a couple of weeks at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Foch Park son, were their daughters, Mrs. Margaret McKinley of Las Ve-pand Mrs. Hazel Eliason and two children of Hyrum, Utah. as ' Joining the list of summer visitors at Beaver were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Joseph and family of Salt Lake City. They visited with Keith's parents, the Walter Josephs and Beverly's parents, the Bill Nelsons at Cedar City. Keith returned to his work on Sunday and Beverly and the children will spend another week visiting. Guests at the Waters home over the week-en- d were Mr. and Mrs. George (Golda) Murry & son of Mapleton. -- d;-cid- ed v Arriving Monday to spend a week with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Smith are Mr. and Mrs. Glen G ne Stroud and two daughters of Salt Lake. Mary Loy (Gentry) Roberts .nd Alda Jones of C'dai wre in Beaver visiting Friday. They spent some time with Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cox, Mr and Mrs. Frank Gentry. Alda was in the hospital with Esta. (We really had a nice visit). Th Hrinwo-iH- i Camo of the DUP hld a socifll at the home cf Martha Gale, out on the lawn among hei many flowers. Eight members were present to enjoy the afternoon and refreshments srved by the hostess assisted by Vina Hutchings and Susie Bee-soRegular meeting will start next month with new officers in charge: Captain, Viola Yard-leVice Captains, Vera and Nell Hutchings. They all attended the Murdock family reunion.
