I have often r 1 heard on the news, during ,, times of war, that troops from HAFB were deployed and defending our great country. HAFB plays an active role in the defense of our country. There are many people behind the scenes that work incredibly hard to increase the effectiveness of our weaponry and improve our ability to defend our freedom during these times of war. My father, uncle, and grandfather have all played an active role at HAFB, and I honor and respect them for that service. Many people in our community take HAFB for granted. They don't understand the importance of the base to our community. If they just knew more about it they would understand that HAFB is a great asset for this Beau Bailey HAFB is very important to Utah. It brings excellent economic opportunity for many different types of people in our area. The base exposes this area to a wide variety of races, culturesand ethnic groups, and helps u s people, to learn to get along well with each other. The base is instrumental to the defense of our country, and with this, brings to Utah a great sense of pride and honor. It provides excellent economic opportunity for residents of this area. It brings a wide variety of cultures to the Wasatch Front. It is a source of great pride and honor for our community, and is an active force in helping the people in our community. Many adults in northern Utah depend on jobs created by Hill Air Force Base. It has many divisions and services, which include careers for people with all forms of education and abilities. HAFB provides jobs for people on active duty as well as civilian workers. It provides careers for many different races, ethnic groups, and all different walks of life. People from this area are not the only ones who benefit economically from HAFB, but many companies can benefit also. HAFB employees bring customers to many eating facilities in the area. It also brings many customers, who live on the base, into the surrounding businesses. Our public education system benefits from federal aid given to the schools where the children of HAFB employees attend. As Utahans we benn we give back to efit economically from HAFB and the base our services and abilities. HAFB is a source of great cultural variety in our state. I used to live in Layton and many of my classmates, at school, had come to the area because of their father's work on the base. Our classes were rich with cultural, racial, and ethnical diversity. I now live in Kaysville, where there is very little variance in the culture of the people, and I miss the interesting mixture of people that HAFB brought to that area. I still see the impact of the base on the people in the area through athletics. I have played --- A against teams from the base in many tournaments for football, baseball and basketball. I have met many interesting people through these activities and I am glad that I have had the opportunity to interact with them and get to know them better. by Beau Bailey i HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH? is B8 Military Command That Can't Be Refused According to the National Highway Traffic Safety levels of 0.8 Administration, drivers with blood-alcohol have increased reactions times that make it more difficult to track moving objects and reduce their ability to deal with "divided attention" tasks (such as reading a street sign while steering a car) .
