The Indians gradually worked out to a 47-45 lead and never looked back. They stretched their advantage to 53-47, but some clutch shooting from Joe English and Mike Newlin kept the Redskins within striking distance. But the Utes could never close the gap as the Indians poured it on in the final moments for their nine point win. Senior forward Mai Mckelwane lead all scorers with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Team mate Don Griffen, who sparked the second half comeback, was second high with 17 points, scoring 13 in the second period.
