Show A Neat Hai- of Gold. Tho result of nr. cxptrimr. t il run oj ore from the S'c-w.irt ynM mine, Bingham, w n reived in L.avd yesterday. It h what Die typical Vankco would c ill a neat little chunk of gold. It is the heaviest shipment ever made at one time from Bingham. The bar weighs a trilling number of pounds only 341, and its value is but $0,200. Tnis is but a commencement of the ork 0u tjc mino and ia the product of about :150 tons of ore. The run was less than twenty days, with ten stamps. The Stewart mining company, which now has possession of this valuable properly, ia making improvements on tho miue, and it is expected that by the 15th of this month ten additional stamps will he at work ou ore. Tao calculation is that by next spring a sixly etamp mill will be tu operation on the Stewart. From developments made eo far. ihu owners of the mino are confident thai there is a sufficient amount of ore in sight to keep the mill constantly at work for all of two years, and how much there is beond this, it is impossible impos-sible to conceive. The ore is free milling gold rock, carrying, as will be seen, about $30 to tho ton, and the character of the mino is one of unquestionable un-questionable permanence. With the increased facilities, tho next bar from this source will doubtless make double the showing of this one. |
