Tho condition of the ditch Is such that sufficient water can bo carried to irrigate not less then 8,000 acres next year. Word comes from Chicago that Pr A. C. Lafount, son of It. Lafount of tills city, lias recently accepted a position posi-tion as Instructor in tho Northwestern University. His official position Is that of instructor In "operative dentistry den-tistry and oral surgery." It Ib said that young Lafount has a splendid dental practice and that tills work comes In such a way that It docs not Interfere.
