Show Bride-Elect Entertained Complimenting Mim Barbara Buchman, whose marriage will take place July 9 to Ralph Wells Robinson of San Francisco, Mrs. Harvey L. Garrity of Magna was hostess with an attractively arranged ar-ranged tea last Friday. As centerpiece cen-terpiece for the table a miniature minia-ture wedding party was placed before a tiny altar. Presiding at the tea table were Mrs. Frank 0. Haymond, Mrs. Leslie Breck-on, Breck-on, Mrs. E. W. Englemann, Mrs. T. A. Janney, assisted by Mrs. R. E. Erickson and Mrs. J. C. Hadley. Summer flowers were arranged about the rooms. Fifty guests called during the afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. J. C. Landenbtttger Jr. was hostess Tuesday with a smartly appointed breakfast in honor of MIhs Buchman in the Landenberger gardens in Salt Lake City. Bowls of red and white snapdragon and blue lark- tess Tuesday evening to the Ruth Rebekah lodge. Mrs. Beth Sum-nlcht Sum-nlcht and Mrs. Frances Sayato-vic Sayato-vic won priies at contract. Luncheon Lun-cheon was served about midnight. mid-night. No. 2 Fire Auxiliary Mrs. John West entertained the No. 2 Fire auxiliary Monday evening. High score bridge prizes priz-es were presented Mrs. Vern Faddis and Mrs. Tory Tobiason. Refreshment were served to eight ladles. No. 1 Fire Auxiliary A Treasure Hunt and softball game furnished entertainment for No, 1 Firemen and the No. 1 auxiliary Monday evening when the monthly conjoint meeting was held In Fairmont Park i Sugarhouse. Mr. and M'rs. Earl James, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Newman New-man and Mr. and Mrs. Dormus Larsen directed arrangements. A picnic supper was served to forty-three. Marriage Announced Announcement Is made of the marriage of Clara Andreason Johnson, daughter of Mt. and Mrs. Louis Andreason, to Mr. Axel Sybrowsky, son of Mrs. Al-freda Al-freda Sybrowsky of Salt Lake City, Friday, July 1. The couple left for a few day's honeymoon following the ceremony, On their return they will make their home In Bingham, where Mr. Sybrowsky Sybrow-sky Is an employe of the U. S. Mines. Bu-thrty Prty Mr. and Mrs. Frances Quinn entertained Saturday , evening with a prettily arranged dinner at Sturm's cafe for their daughter, daugh-ter, Miss Marjorle Quinn on her fifteenth birthday. A centerpiece of pink carnations and baby breath were used on the table where places were marked for the hosts, Miss Marjorle and the Misses Frankle Quinn, M'arle Pe-traca, Pe-traca, Betty Bradford, Donna Da-vies, Da-vies, Delana Pollock, Ethel Richards Rich-ards and Patricia Shilling. A beautifully decorated birthday cake was served after dinner. The group enjoyed a theatre party later in the evening. Announcement Made Mr. and Mrs. Frank Looney of Heaston Heights announce the betrothal of their daughter, Francis Lorraine Looney, to Har-ley Har-ley H. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Taylor of Cedar Rapids, Ra-pids, Iowa. The marriage will take place July 15 In St. Vincent's Cathedral, Cathe-dral, Los Angeles. fo'brkah Lodge Mrs. Estelle Doman was hos- spur centered the tables where places were arranged for sixteen guests. Mrs. J. C. Landenberger Sr. and Mrs. Ben Beck of Salt Lake City assisted the hostess. M'rs. Roy Shilling and Mrs. George Robbe entertained Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon with a dessert luncheon in compliment to Miss Buchman at the Shilling home. Six tables of bridge were arranged ar-ranged for games during the afternoon. Seasonal flowers were arranged about the rooms. Relief Society A "Professor Quiz" hour furnished fur-nished entertainment for the Relief Re-lief Society members Tuesday when the group met at the home of Mrs. Jane Spendlove, president. presi-dent. Mrs. Blanche Reld asked questions and the entire group supplied answers. Following a social service lesson a harmonica solo by Mrs. Jane Nichols accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Flossie Ramsey; Ram-sey; a piano solo by Mrs. Nora Austin and a humorous reading by Mrs. Ada Curtis were given. Refreshments were served to 29 members. During the summer meetings of the group will be held the second Tuesday of the month and will be devoted to work and business. Junior Legion Auxiliary Accompanied by Mrs. C. A. Morley, Mrs. Glen Davies, Mrs. Wayne Shelley, Mrs. William All-mark, All-mark, Mrs. Frances Quinn, the Junior American Legion auxiliary auxili-ary enjoyed their summer outing out-ing last Friday at Liberty Park. The afternoon was spent boating boat-ing and bicycle riding and a luncheon served. Members present pres-ent were the Misses Donna and Joy Dean DavleB, Frances and Marjorle Quinn, Darlene and Ma-urine Ma-urine Morley, Gall and Norma Shelley, Gloria and Marlon Bird, Helen, Aspacia and Katherine Chlplan. |
