This beautiful structure, built through the hard labors of 'both twons- people and school personnel, is to house those girls who leave their homes to enjoy the friendly spirit and beautiful campus of Dixie a girl enjoys the same safety and close association that is found in the family. This new dormitory will contrib- ute a great deal to the social standards of Dixie plus it should and has increased the enrollment of the school. Dixieites should be proud of this structure and the harmonious relationship .between the school and townspeople that it stands for. Ruth peevitis Leany said that if you havent, you have never really had anything to gripe about. And until you do, the old world will be dull on the griping side of life. Headquarters The new Dixianna has been thoroughly initiated this past week g by 38 ambitious and gills coming to Dixie from all parts of Utah, Idaho, Tennessee, California, Philippine islands, and Nevada. From the time ten alarm clocks shrilly announce another school day until sign in time at 11 y atmos- p. m., the phere makes it impossible for a dull moment to ever prevail at the dorm. It would seem very un- natural if right in the middle of your afternoon nap, the door didnt fly open and Trudy come rushing through your apartment to rummage through the fridge for ice cubes. Darlene and Sally are forever wandering around, measuring cup in hand, trying to borrow a cup of milk or some Karo syrup. And then, of course, you can expect to see Rochelle run through your apartment at any second, minute, or hour of the day. To keep the riotous laughter and gav times under control, a dorm council was held Monday night and officers were elected. Janice Neil-sowas elected president to organize the social events and take charge of any problem that might arise. Mary Ann Hunt was elected to keep things running smoothly in Janices absence. Hope Lauritzen and Irene Ott were appointed to 'be historian and recorder. They will make a scrap book for Dixiannas first year and will keep a record of all the happenings. Sally Frederick will act as reporter and keep all the papers posted on the latest news. To keep the parties lively and everyone DeAnna Hawkins was happy, chosen as activity leader.
