The welfare program was stressed by Elder Mark Graff and genealogy work was promoted pro-moted by Elder John Paul Barlow. Each is a member of the church committee which he represented. Other speakers of the conference con-ference were, J. Arvid Dodge and R. Phil Shumway of the Stake Presidency, Dr. Paul Groneman, Grace Farnsworth, and E. Billings Patten. Special music for the morning morn-ing session wars furnished by the Melodians under the direction direc-tion of Dr. Franklin Madsen and Prof. Florence Jepperson Madsen. Prelude and postlude music was played by Keith Rowley. A girls Youth Chorus from the Orem Fourth and Vineyard wards, under the direction di-rection of Lorin Jex and Com-orah Com-orah Holdaway, rendered numbers num-bers in the afternoon session.
