"From Gold Hill east over the I.in-coln I.in-coln highway the road Is In good shape considering sll conditions, anil there la considerable travel over It. The Sleberllng cutoff la In good shape and with a little maintenance would be a good road to travel if no atorms were encountered. The west aeven miles of this Sleberllng section la surfaced with gravel and Is a good road under dry clrcumatancea. The eavnt ten mllea of the cutoff haa no surfacing and consequently during wet weather la a bad aectlon to travel. GOOD CONDITION. "The section between the east end of the cutoff and the weat end of Fisher rasa Is In aa good condition as la expected of thla character of road. No work haa been done on this section and It will have to be graded and surfaced before It can be expected to care for any great amount of travel. The west side of Fisher Pass, which is on an per cent grade and aandy In spots. In a. hard section to negotiate for travel coming east.
