Show GENEALOGY CONVENTION DRAWS MANY A large attendance featured each session of Kolob stake genealogical convention here Sunday. The meetings meet-ings were held In the Fourth ward chapel with two sessions in the forenoon and a general meeting in the afternoon. Representative L. E. Harmer of Mapleton was in charge of the convention. Representing the general board were Joseph H. Christensen, recorder re-corder at the Salt Lake temple and Joseph H. Smith. Both gave interesting data on the value of junior class genealogical work and stressed the importance of young people enrolilng in junior classes. The theme of the meetings was on junior class programs and during dur-ing the afternoon a demonstration of the theme was given. Talks during the convention were given by ward representatives, Harvey Hutchinson, Albert Hutchings, A. B. Gore, Lawrence Johnson and Faye Jensen. Class members Edith Teasdale, LaVern Hiatt and Leonore Weight also gave short talks. Music at the convention was furnished by a chorus from the Second ward, by a Fourth ward junior chorus, by a mixed chorus from Mapleton and by Harvey Hutchinson, who sang a solo. |
