About Town News and children September Wedding Day Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nelson, of Redmond, are happy to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elaine Lewis, to Stanley Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Brown, of Sigurd. Elaine is a 1976 graduate of North Sevier High School. She is currently employed by the Turkey Growers Association. Stanley is a 1972 graduate of Richfield High School. The couple has chosen September 24th as their wedding date. attended the Alphus Hatch reunion held in Salt Lake City Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jensen took the Salina Lions float to Manti Saturday to participate in the parade. Those riding the float were Sheila Rasmussen, MeriLynn Turner, Teri Gilbert, Brenda Larsen, and Denise Jensen. The North Sevier Royalty also was in the parade. All the young girls hearts (and some of the older hearts, too), were sent fluttering Friday as the Johnny Whitaker family arrived in our town. Floyd and Gladys Johnson were hosts to the famous family. Gladys served their a delicious whole dinner company to and several local people Friday at the Cultural Hall. The Whitakers spent the night with the Johnsons, and on their way to their next engagement in Price, stopped to enjoy the beautiful mountains at the Johnson Mountain Ranch, where they all had lunch, again prepared by Gladys.
