Mrs. W. H. Sperry returned to her home in this city Monday after a short visit in Salt Lake City. Mrs Sperry was in Salt Lake to see her daughter Nelda, who underwent an at the operation last Wednesday Holy Cross hospital. Mrs. Sperry reports that Nelda is getting along as good as could be expected. News of the death on Wednesday of Joseph Thorpe of Ephraim was received by .Mrs. Julia Hoyt, a sister of the deceased. Mr. Thorpe resided at Nephi a number of years ago, and many of the older residents of the his city were numbered among friends. Mr. Thorpe ia survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Ann Thorpe, and six children. The Ladles Literary Club met at the City hall February 28th, Mrs. Roy T. Cowan acting as hostess.
