Dr. Potthoff found his stay here -- very stimulating because ef the attitude of the college and gave high praise to those who had shared in the planning of Living Issues week. - He listed three reasons for his confidence in .Westminster: 1. There is a community feeling on the campus, where in every individual has a sense of belonging, 2., There is a sense of confidence among the students and faculty that, the .school is going places. 3. The religious interest of the students is outstanding in their search for religion as a living thing. Dr. Potthoff praised the music of the Girls Glee Club given in . chapel on Thursday. C Summer Study Abroad Marcia Baldwin Places Second in Recent Montana Speech Tornament . r took- - second place in Oral interpretation in the recent Tau Kappa Alpha Speech Tournament in Missoula, Montana. Nine students from Westminster - competed at the meet. - Jud Farmer and Doug Pender, the top debate team from Westminster won four out of six debates. Other members from the home school were: 2nd debate team, Warren Kettle and Jack Smith; Mens Extemporaneous Speaking, Ed Oliver; and s Oral Roberta Roberts, Gerrie Lambson, Interpretation Bill Jameson and Marcia Baldwin. , r, . . Miss Baldwin took second out of a field of more than 250 students, representing 40 colleges and universities throughout the western states. .
