Nobody No-body has let me in on any news for a while, in fact, when I'm a-round a-round everyone clams up, I can't figure it out. Last week a mistake was made about Ruth Finlinson in the paper. It said Keith Finlinson anyway, Ruth is still in Salt Lake helping care for her sister and brother-in-law. Will probably be there for some time yet. We sincerely hope Mr. and (Mrs. Colman get better soon. Even though many of us people of Leamington were not to Mr. and Mrs. Jay Grygla's wedding reception, re-ception, is no reason we didn't think of them. I guess Mr. Weather Weath-er had a lot to do with it. Anyway, Congratulations, Jay and Joan and many more happy anniversaries to you. Many of the Leamington folks attended Jim Nielson's mission farewell in Lynndyl last Sunday night. Jim should make a wonderful wonder-ful missionary as he has such a sense of humor and very sincere in his attitude toward the church. Good luck, Jim. I don't know how many of you folks read in last Saturday's Tri- chapel, Relief Society room and stage were filled to capacity. So many of Jim's school friends were present. In Jim's talk he said, "This is the kind of farewell I've always wanted." Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all say the good things about people while they can hear them. Let's all do what we -can to help. Also we would like to have a fire place and barbecue built in the park. Witnesses to Meet In Bountiful Announcement from the Watch-tower Watch-tower Bible and Tract Society of Brooklyn, New York, revealed that Bountiful has been chosen to be the host city for the spring semiannual semi-annual circuit convention of Jehovah's Jeho-vah's Witnesses. Donald Kozina, presiding minister of the Delta congregation, con-gregation, said the three-day Bible educational program is scheduled for February 28 to March 1 and that all sessions will be held in the Bountiful Armory, 200 West 400 North. Commented Mr. Kozina about the program, "Those who will be in attendance will enjoy a real treat. Last year Jehovah's Witnesses had a series of conventions around the world in 24 cities and the highlights high-lights were filmed for later release. So at this Bountiful gathering a two-hour film 'Proclaiming "Everlasting "Ever-lasting Good News" Around the World' will be shown on Saturday evening at 7:15 p.m. "World Shattering events of the past few months have opened the eyes of many honest-hearted persons per-sons to the shocking realization that we are truly living in a most wicked generation," added Mr. Kozina. Ko-zina. "Mankind needs God today and thus Jehovah's Witnesses stress reading the Bible daily, diligently dili-gently applying its principles, there by pleasing God." The climax Bible discourse will be given 'by a special representative representa-tive on Sunday afternoon, March 1, at 3 p.m. The subject will be "Facing Up to the Urgency of Our Times." A peak attendance of over 700 ministers is expected. Utah Circuit No. 1 is presently represented from Bountiful to Richfield in Utah and Ely and Elko, Nevada. i |
