Show 6monday.1978 Contract breach charge brought against MFT Murray First Thrift is being sued for breach of contract involving the sale of a building lot at Prospector Village. The suit is asking for a total of $55,000 in damages. The action was filed in Third District Court last week by Lloyd J. Glieden and his wife Beverly. Glieden maintains be bought a lot at Prospector Village for $49,000 on which he intended to build a residence. According to the suit, Gliden claims Murray First Thrift accepted his offer to purchase the land in October 1976. In July, 1977, Glieden charges Murray First Thrift modified the purchase agree- ment without his consent or knowledge. Murray told Glieden, according to the complaint, that he would have to deposit $2,000 in escrow. When he refused, Glieden said Murray told him the purchase agreement was no longer valid, and refunded the $500 he deposited as earnest money. Passenger traffic to and from the Salt Lake International Airport continues to show strong year to year gains, according to airport statistics. Total passenger traffic from chartered and scheduled flights in the latest February numbered 302,129, off 5.7 from percent Januarys 320,411, but still 26.2 percent ahead of last February with its recorded total of 239,500. During February the number of passengers embarking from or leaving on scheduled airline flights totaled 298,125, down 5.9 percent from Januarys 316,843 but up 27 per cent over last Februarys 234,700. Passengers arriving or departing from charter flights during the month came to 4,004, up 12.2 percent over Januarys 3,568 but off 16.6 percent from last Februarys total. Air freight was unchanged month to month, but gained 10.8 percent over last February. In the latest month, 3.79 million pounds of air freight passed through the airport compared to the same total for January and 3.42 million pounds last February.
