The last days of the schools existence are here. During the last part of school, some students think they can do anything they wish. The school is old and it doesnt take too much effort to deface the buildings. Though this is the last year of BY Highs existence, the school buildings will be used for other purposes in the future. Next year the school will assume a new role in the educational process of jre"university. The group will travel to San Francisco in June to record a disc with Golden State Recorders. Then they will leave on a tour of the Midwest and West Brook Parker previously turned down the contract to make the tour so he could jvork on his farm in Canada. However, Ke changed his mind. At the encouragement of his father, Brook v decided to go on the summer tour to broaden his scope of experience. , The farm will always be here, Brooks father added. Region track next week BY Highs thinclads will be con- centrating on the Region Four meet to be held at BYU Stadium next Friday at 3 p.m. Yesterday the team entered the Northern' Division meet at the stadium where both Northern and Southern divisions competed for the first time in Region history. Wildcat coach Tom Burr will take charge of the Region meet. , Highlighting track last week was the annual Y Invitational at which approximately 5,000 junior high, high school and college athletes participated. Class A records were set by outstanding high schoolers in the pole vault, low hurdles, javelin, and high jump. BY students competed in the preliminaries but failed to place the final heats. Region Four collected three firtt places and six second-plac- e positions.
