Speakers were Richard Fin-linson, Fin-linson, Orpha Anderson, Winston Nielson and Myron Christensen. A girls chorus sang, and there were two numbers from the Jr. Sunday Sun-day School classes. A sock and hanky party was given Saturday evening for Gary Roper, who leaves June 2 for the mission home at Salt Lake City. A large crowd of young people attended. at-tended. A program and dance will be held Saturday night, May 20, at the amusment hall. All friends and relatives are invited in-vited to attend this missionary farewell party and dance. Mrs. Laurel Anderson Prisbee and little son are visiting from Boulder eNvada, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pratt and sons visited In Oak City with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Roper, Mr. and Mrs. Afton Faucett and little daughter, Sherron and Nancy, visited in Oak City and attended the commencement exercises for her sister, Glenda Talbot. Saturday, Satur-day, George Talbot and Emmerson Jenkins returned with them for a short visit at Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Nielson and sons and Mrs. Arthur Olson and children spent the weekend at Beaver to attend the graduation of their sister, Miss Shirley Paice, at Cedar City Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nielson Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Sheriff and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sheriff visited at. Provo Wednesday at' Martin Sheriff's residence. Relatives from South Carolina were visiting the Sheriff family. Mr. and Mrs, George H. Anderson Ander-son and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Jacob-son, Jacob-son, visited in California a few days last week with a brother, Mr. Eddie Anderson, also the Temple site, and old missionary friends. Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Dillen'beck and Mr. Rex Carter Car-ter entertained the group with several mandolin and guitar duets. Bruce Hilton showed slides and and talked about Vienna. A large group was in attendance. Mrs. Marlon Jepson and children child-ren spent a week in Salt Lake City with relatives. While there she attended a missionary farewell for her brother. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shurtliff attended a wedding reception Friday Fri-day night in St. George for Mrs. Shurtliff's sister. Mrs. Harriet Humphries and sons Wayne and Max, recently returned return-ed to Hinckley after spending the winter in California. Mr. Melvin Hepworth and Mr. Duane Galll attended a Conoco Banquet and Meeting in Spring-ville Spring-ville Thursday night. Mrs. Lillian Taylor, Mrs. Pearl Wllkins, and Mrs. Helen Jean Taylor Tay-lor spent Friday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Talbot spent Wednesday and Thursday in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Dale Bishop and two children child-ren returned home from Kilso Washington, Wednesday morning'. She has been up to visit her fat her, Frank Slaughter, who had been in a serious accident. Her sister, Lillian Slaughter, returned with her for a visit. Mrs. Ladd Cropper entertained Wednesday night in honor of her daughter, Ada Maline's 10 th birth day. Eighteen friends were present pre-sent to enjoy the refreshments and the picture show in Delta. Mrs. Cecil Webb Davis spent a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Webb,. She is from Toole. Mr. Lafe Lee and grandaughter of Salt Lake City visited over the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Lee. Mr. and Mrs. Rhead Gunn and daughter, of llayward, Cal. are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Robinson. Mrs. Gunn is the former Coleen Mortensen, daughter of Mrs Robinson. Two mus leal numbers, ' Jesus Lover of My Soul", and "Bless This House" by the quartette Floyd Hardy, Eldon Sorenson. Janus Wright and Lay-ton Lay-ton Bishop, accompanied by Willis I Mvrrison. Members of the Hinckley Garden Gard-en Club went on a garden tour Monday afternoon.They visited the homes of Mrs. Zola Bunker, Mrs. Peter Gronning. Mrs. Inei Moody, and the Delta R.se Garden. ! Mrs. Hope Bennett and two sons 1 from American Fork visited Fri day and Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh H.iton. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mecham and Mrs. eBf.y Corry, spent Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday in Provo. Miss Ruth Benson and Grant Memmott spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Memmott. Mr. and Mrs. George Jenson and Mrs. Cecil Shurtz made a trip to Manti last week. Sunday night meeting the program pro-gram was put on by the Gleanors class by their class leader, Lillian Ivie. A good program was given by the girls, and at the closing they bound their sheaves in an impressive ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Don Boothe, from Tooele came down Thursday for Caroline's graduation. She returned return-ed with them, and will look for work. Mr. and Mrs. Cai Boothe and Mrs. Zen Boothe and children made a trip to Salt Lake City and Provo on Tuesday. Our sympathy goes ot to the Abbott family at this writing. Mrs" Nellie Workman, from Salt Lake City is visiting in Delta with her daughter, Mrs. Lavina Bunker, Bunk-er, and family. M.S. Pliyliis Stewart, of Hunt, Idaho, was a Delta visitor last week, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Winsor, and attended the graduation exercises Thursday Thurs-day night at Delta high school when her brother, Albert Winsor, received his diploma. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bunker, of St, George visited at Sutherland last week 'with their sister Mrs. W. R. Walker, and family. They were recently married, and were en route to Blackfoot, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Tharol Larson have as a visitor a sand turtle that walked into their grounds the other day. Where the sand turtle came from, how long it plans to stay, and -what it likes to eat are problems that baffle the Larsons.
