SUGAR cub scours ARE DISCUSSED BY ROTARIANS Cub Scout work and its assistance to the boy between the ages of nine and twelve. years was discussed at the weekly meeting of the Sugar House Rotary club Thursday noon by Emil Nyman, chairman of Salt Lake Cubs and Mart Wilten, field executive of the Boy Scouts of America. Cub Scouts are boys too young for actual scout work but old enough to have ambitions and pep and a desire to participate in group training. These boys are greatly aided by older boys, who have been through the ranks of Cubs, as well as their parents. They are encouraged in handcraft work and although they are not given field trips and overat night trips, they enjoy homes of members and city playgrounds. A motion picture of scout work was shown the Rotarians to better acquaint them with the work of the organization. pow-wo- BOARD MEETING SET A meeting of the board of directors of the Sugar House Rotary club will be held Monday evening at 6:30 P. M. at the Sugar House Sprague Branch library, according to an announcement made Thursday by Bert Smoot, president of the club. U Homecoming Staged Friends and alumni of the University of Utah' are preparing, to attending the Homecoming Celebration on the U campus November 10, 11 and 12. The celebration will feature class meetings, contests in skits and floats between campus organizations, open house in fraternity and sorolty homes, a huge Homecoming parade downtown and through the stadium just before game time, and and gigantic dance the final evening.
