Show SOCIETY NEVS I Mr. and Mrs. John Dahle of Aberdeen, Ida., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Groesbeck, Mr. and Mrs. James Rothwell, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lee and other relatives rela-tives here. Mrs. Ida Wignall was hostess to the Elite Bridge club Friday night at her home. Mis. Lillie Hume was a special guest. A tasty lunch was served by the hostess and prizes for bridge were won by Mrs. Bell Sumsion and Mrs. Alda Alleman. Teachers at the Lincoln school 'including . Miss Lola B. White, Miss Virginia Rivers, Miss Ada Smith, Miss Rv.th Johnson i. nn! Mrs. Mary Schartz and Miss Pearl Starr, were entertained at a toasted toast-ed sandwich lunch at the home of Sunny Gardner. He was assisted assist-ed by his mother, Mrs. J.- X. Gardner. Mrs. Zanza Mann will be hostess host-ess to members of her club Friday evening at her home. Burley, Ida., have spent the pact two weeks with friends and relatives rela-tives here. One of the ouastanding social events' of the past week end was given Saturday night at Memorial hall by Home Culture club members mem-bers in honor of their husbands. Hostess were Miss Sophie Packard, Mrs. J. F. W mgate, Mrs. Ronald Thorpe and Mrs. Harrison Con-over. Con-over. A delicious dinner was served at small tables each being centered with flowers. Bridge was the principal diversion of the evening, eve-ning, and prizes were awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Perham. A committee from the husband's was selected to arrange a party in the near future for the club members. Dr. John R. Anderson was named chairman. Members and guests at the party were Ml, and Mrs. C. E. ggertson, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Coffman, Dr. and Mrs. John R .Anderson, J3r. and Mrs. L. E. Otteson, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen, Mrs. C. F. Packard, Mrs. Coe Durrant, Mrs. E. V. Boorman, Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Welch, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bird, , A group of friends who made up a deer hunting party last fall were entertained at supper prepared pre-pared by the wives at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hall Saturday night. There were present Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Peterson of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Peterson, Peter-son, Mr. and Mrs. Will Childs, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haymond, Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Child and Mr. and Mrs. Hall. Social chat and games were other enjoyable features feat-ures of the party. Mrs. Roy Wightman is visiting Mrs. Herald Davis and Mrs. Joseph Jos-eph Hughes and families in southern south-ern California. She also has spent some time with relatives in San Francisco, ' William Snow, Mrs. C. H. Harrison Har-rison of Cedar City, and Clinton Snow of St. George were guests of Mrs. J. X. Gardner here Monday Mon-day night. Miss Merlyn Hall and Mrs. Blanche Hanson of Provo spent one day last week as guests of Misses Charlotte and lone Hall in Salt Lake. Members bt the Alpha Beta club were delightfully entertained Saturday Sat-urday at a 10 o'clock bridge breakfast break-fast at the home of Mrs. A. O. Packard. Mrs. Charles Boyer was assisting hostess. Prizes for the Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thorpe, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Perham, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Condie, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Baxter, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Bradford, the hostesses and their partners. The Mothers Study club members mem-bers were entertained Friday at the home of Mrs. Mae Ftetcher. President Ella Reynolds presided. A feature of the program was a review of the book "Miss Bishop" by Nell Caffall with a vocal selection selec-tion by" Mrs. Jessie Dalton, accompanied ac-companied by Miss Barbara Gud-mundsen, Gud-mundsen, and a piano, duet by Miss Merle Fletcher and Miss Pris-cella Pris-cella Gudmundsen. A tasty lunch was served by the hohtess to 27 members and guests. Mell Roylance of Hazelton, Ida., Glenn Johnson of Richfield, Ida., and Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Livingston Living-ston of Spanish Fork were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Thorn. Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Thorn of Spring Canyon visited their mother, moth-er, Mrs. I,:artha Thorn and other relatives here. Mrs. Myrtle G. Conover has returned re-turned from California where she has spent the past two months visiting her son George Murdock and family of Los Angeles, and her sister, Mrs. Einer Bjarnson of San Diego. The Home Culture club will meet with Mrs. Harold Christensen Christen-sen February 8 instead of February Febru-ary 1 as was scheduled. President Mrs. C. E. Eggertson announces, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Taylor and Mrs. Lewis Thorpe of Pioche, Nev., were dinner guestfi Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thorpe. games were awarded to Mrs. Lela Packard and Mrs. Lillian Huntington. Gardner and other friends and relatives here last week. Mrs. Clara Bate accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Cora Piper of Salt Lake City, is visiting friends and relatives in California. .
