nin n LAA UY IS CALLED BY mrs ag aches fies southworth succumbs t 0 heart failure on Thurs thursday dak morning agnes caldwell southworth widow of the late chester lied died yesterday morning at 6 at her home corner 3rd ard south and 3rd ard west streets in this city of 0 heart trouble mrs southworth was born february 22 1847 at glasgow scotland a laughter of 0 william and margaret anti ann mcfall caldwell she came to utah in 1856 being a member ot of the willis and atkins handcart company and while only a girl of 9 years ot of age walked the entire distance across the plains from council bluffs iowa after a short residence in salt lake laie city she came to brigham Brig hara being one of the early pioneers of this city she married chester southworth in this city january 1 1863 1865 after residing here for quite a number ot or years she and her husband moved to bear lake and later to canada from there they moved to gridley california where mr southworth died march 4 1910 mrs airs southworth then le ze turned to this city where she has since resided she was a faithful member of the L D S church and had acted in the capacity of a teacher in the relief society tor for many years surviving are ten sons and daughters lers as follows horace and sylvester southworth and mrs airs F af perkins of 0 hazelton idaho caldwell southworth bellview idaho newell southworth paradise calif D wilcox oakland calif mrs D A osborne mrs charles T anderson and mrs wm win S bitof Fit of brichant Bri ghant city mrs george feie W W miller bilier st anthony idaho also 46 grand children and 24 great grand children funeral services will bo be held saturday afternoon nt at 2 at the second ward chapel under the direction of bishop NY J valentine interment will be in the city cemetery
