Show FIELDING" Park Valley By Florence Munson By Mrs. Kenneth G. Carter Greetings! Special ones to be counted with all the other Christmas greetings you are receiving this year. They carry not only the usual meaning of "Hi" and "Welcome" but sincere wishes that among your blessings you may count ' many those of peace and contentment season and this Christmas throughout the coming year. The fog that has blanketed the lower end of the valley, snuggling close to the moun tains for the past week has at last given way to mild winds from the north and light showers of snow. The moisture content in ground in this area has put the soil in excellent condition, though the extreme cold weather has made plowing mostly impossible. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Jess (Beth) James this week for the death of her sister, Mrs. John (Winifred) Browning, who died at her home in Palm Springs, Calif. Mrs. James left by plane for California on Tuesday. Mrs. Dee Kunzler and baby son are again at home after spending the past month in Brig-haCity with her parents while the baby was receiving medical care for virus infection, etc., brought on by a severe cold or "flu" The baby is slowly imm proving. Hold Demonstration Ward Primary Bluebird class under the direction of teacher Helen Pugsley held a class demonstration for the parents and Bishopric and wives Sunday evening after Sacrament meeting. The girls delighted those attending with a review of their year's activities in Primary work. Tuesday evening after class period the M.I.A. presented films on wildlife, courtesy of Kendall Kimber and Vernal Montgomery. The film of buffalo and their homeland in color was especially enjoyed by the local scout troup. Speaking of Scouting, we (K. G. Carters) and Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Montgomery drove to Ogden Monday to attend the n meeting of Scouters of the Area Council. A wonderful mteting and the twelfth year Mr. C. has had the privilege of sitting with the men who wear Silver Beavers. Folks Going Places And Doing Things Mr. and Mrs. Kay Carter were Tremonton visitors on Monday, shopping and on business. Monday was also business day for Chester Kunzler in Ogden. Mrs. Rose Larsen and son Clarence were visiting the Howard Larsens and the Sherwin Larsens in Logan a few days this week. Mr. and Mrs. Laurence G. Gg-de- Carter returned Saturday, having spent the week in Salt Lake City. While here they were the guests of their daughter, Dr. and Mrs. A Hamer Reiser, Jr., and family. Thursday was livesock auction in Burley for K. G. Carter and Gary Rose, and Vernon Johnson of Bear River City was in the valley cattle shopping. Mrs. James Home Mrs. Ferris (Vera) James is visit with home after a two-da- y her family the Lynn James in Logan, Utah. She had her first glimpse of the new grandson at the Lynn James home. On the way back to the valley Mr. James had the cast changed on his foot and the doctor says the broken ankle is mending nicely. Mrs. James went to Logan with her son Lynn and Mr. James called for her on Tuesday. NO HOLDS BARRED Mcitmen Point to Season Filled With Much Action Members of the Future Progress Guild met at the home of Mrs. Opal Gam Thursday where they made a beautiful quilt and enjoyed a pot luck luncheon. The quilt will be given away at the annual Christmas dance, sponsored by the Guild, which will be held at the Fielding Recreation Hall Thursday, Dec. 26, announces President LaPriel Secrist. Everyone is cordially invited to come and enjoy the evening's entertainment. The dance will start at 9:00 and a floor show will be presented at 10:30. Music will be furnished by the Clark Orchestra from Clarkston. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason spent Tuesday with Mrs. Mason's mother, Mrs. Mary Overmyre at Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Munson spent Monday at Ogden. In the evening they enjoyed a drive to Salt Lake City accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. James Burt and family. Attending a wedding recep- tion at Salt Lake City Thursday evening were Mrs. LaPriel Secrist and four daughters Linda, Annette, Kathleen and Joan. The reception was in compliment to Mrs. Secrist's sister, Anna Owens who is now the new Mrs. Lester Eddington. Linda, Annette, Joan and Kathleen favored with several quartet numbers during the evening and also helped at the serving table. Ricky Owen accompanied the group home and remained until Sunday. Stanley Farnsworth of Salt Lake City visited at the J. D. Munson home Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Hansen and daughter, Mary Ann accompanied by Mrs. Faun Bagley of Tremonton spent Friday evening at Logan.
