Married and the father of five children, Bushnell has been a member of the Utah State Legislature. He is presently a member of the Utah State Bar, and the County and State Drug Abuse Committee. He is now ending a four year term on the Board. Bushnell's main concern is the improvement of teaching and learning in four basic skill areas: reading, writing, spelling and arithmetic.
