They clinched the modified fast pitch softball championship Oct. 1 and the flag football . championship Oct. The SPs went through the losers' bracket of a softball tournament and the championship, losing just one game. They defeated the 388th Maintenance Squadron, 19-- 19-- 75th Civil Engineering Group, 15-- and The 421st the 388th Operations Support Squadron, The SPs Fighter Squadron handed the SPs a loss, 14-1defeated the 388th OSS in the last game, 22-1"The competition was pretty hard," team coach A1C Michael Carpenter said. "The strongest team we had to play was the 388th OSS." Carpenter said that in the recent past, the SPs have never won the title. "I stick to the same game plan every year and it seems to work," Bellus said. Bellus said the team felt no pressure. "We were out there having fun," Bellus said. "I think that it helped us win. Coaches needed The Youth Activities Center, Bldg. 883, is looking for volunteers interested in becoming Junior Jazz Basketball coaches. Coaches are 9-- 1 needed for the following age groups: 0, 1 1 1 2 and 1 1 4 year olds. Coaches are also needed for ninth, 1 0th, 1 1th and 12th graders. All head and assistant coaches must become certified by National Youth Sports Coaches Association according to the new Air Force Instruction standard. The Youth Center will pay for all head coaches and one assistant coach per team. The Hill program is part of the Junior Jazz League, which includes a game ticket for all team members and coaches.
