MARCH 22, 1979 Beta Rho Slates Chapter Events Sorority, as well as springtime, seems to be bustin out all over, expecially for the girls in the Beta Rho Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Activities, programs, work sessions and parties have dominated the February and March calendar. DIANE BECK, talented commercial - artist and chapter member gave the program on art at the home of Mrs. Holly Carlin, Feb. 13. At the next regular meeting, Feb. 27, members met at the 4 X,"' & St. Benedicts Hospital to listen to Mrs. Burris of the hospital staff speak on drug and alcohol dependency in women. March 13 was a work meet- j v ing at the home of Mrs. Brenda Hall. Work was done on the centerpieces that are the chapters assignment for the convention to be held in early summer at the Hilton Hotel in Salt Lake City. THURSDAY, March 15 found Beta Rho Entertaining the Xi Chi Chapter of Layton at a fun Ides of March party at the home of Mrs. HOPEFULS Miss Kaysville Queen con- - test has become one of the most challenging and fun events for the young girls of the community. It is sponsored annually by the enthusiastic members of the JCKs who spend countless hours in spearheading the contest. MRS. MARY Lou Jandreau is chairman of the 1979 con- test. There are 14 contestants who will be competing for the Miss Kaysville title on April 7 which will be held at the Davis High School Audi- torium beginning at 7 p.m. THE CONTESTANTS for the contest are Nancy Jacobs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jacobs. She is a senior at Davis High School where she is a member of the gymnastics, tennis, and ski teams. She is a Davis Association of Girls representative. She hopes to attend Utah State University and major in psychology. MAUREEN CASDORPH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Casdorph, is a senior' at Davis High, is a member of the Davis Association of Girls and was in the marching band. She plans to study nursing at Weber State College. Linda Romney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Romney is a senior at Davis High School where she is a National Merit Commended Scholar. She is a concert master in the Davis High Symphony, and a member of the National Honor Society. LINN PEARSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Pearson is a senior at Davis High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society. She has received awards in athletics. She plans to attend Ricks College and pursue a career in nursing and athletic I. Taylor, is a senior at Davis High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society, the Madrigals, Jesse coaching. Michelle Verrier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore the orchestra, and the marching band. She plans to attend Ricks College and major in music. Verrier, attends Davis High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and won honors with the Davis High Drill Team. She plans to attend the U. of U. and major in ballet. Degraw, Stephanie daughter of Mrs. Judith Southworth, is a senior at sociation of Girls representative and GAA FHA. She plans to attend BYU and major in business. Kaylene Corless, Kaysville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Corless, is a graduate of Davis High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and very active in sports.
