Show JULY 28, 1987 L, Silver Age activities Farm talent find slated Saturday Aug. 6 at noon the Silver Age will sponsor a program dealing with eyes and changes that come The annual Davis County Farm Bureau Talent Find competi-Uo- n will be held at 10 a.m., Aug. 1, 1987 at the Davis County Fair, held at Davis High School, according to Flint Richards, chairman of the Farm Bureaus Young Farmer & Rancher Committee, which sponsors the contest. County winners in each of the three divisions will compete in the Utah Farm Bureau Talent Find at the Utah State Fair on Sept. 12. The divisions are: Junior, up to 10 years of age inclu6 sive; Intermediate, years of age; and Senior, 0 years 11-1- with aging." Dr. Gary Brough will be the professional on hand to present the program and answer any questions you may have. On the same day at 10:45 a.m. will be the blood pressure clinic. Come also for lunch at 11:30 a.m. 17-3- On Aug. 20 and 21 the center will sponsor a health screening clinic to ,be held at St. Marks. of age. The Farm Bureau Talent Find is the largest amateur talent competition in the state, said Flint. We want to provide an opportunity for young people to develop their talent here in the county and at the state level. Those interested in participating should contact Sandy Richards at 8 for detailed entry information. The public is invited to attend the Talent Find program. This will include diagnostic testing, diabetes check, anemia check, wrinalysis and more. A $3 fee is suggested. Appointments are now being taken at the Silver Age. Aug. 27 and 28 there will be a follow-up seesion held to discuss the results of your tests. Transportation will be provided from the Silver Age to St. Marks. The staff and seniors at the Silver Age mourn the death of one of volunteers and bethe loved members of the Silver Age family, Joe Gale. He will be missed! 451-201- Pony club offers instruction, fan long-ter- Crestwood Pony Club of Kay sville is inviting new members to join in their summer instruction and fun activities. Pony .Club provides the opportunity for young riders to develop English riding and horse management skills and to instill in them a love and ability to care for horses. Through equestrian involvement. Pony Club develops good sportsmanship, a sense of responsibility, and a feeling of belonging. Some of the activities include dressage, jumping, cross country, and games. Weekly mounted meetings take place at Crestwood Farm on Crestwood Road each Wedcnesday 0 from p.m. All levels of riders are welcome. For more information call Lucinda Wagner at Volunteerism is a way of life for LuDean Hagge. She has been a volunteer in her daughters special education classes, worked with Special Olympics for many years, and been a volunteer at PARC (Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center) in Clearfield. LuDean was a volunteer at Hill Air Force Base Hospital for 21 years. She is a member of the Workman dies at 70 t and one sister, Russell J. Workman, Vacaville, Califl; Mrs. Rex (Thelma) Pace, Fruit Heights. He was preceded in death by one sister and one granddaughter. A musical selection of Oh My Father was given by Dick Egan, Paul Smedley, Ferrell Gailey and John Flint. The Invocation was by Rex Pace with remarks by Bishop Beazer, and the speaker was Norman Hansen. A musical selection The Swan was given by Amber Workman accompanied by KLynn Lyman. Speakers were Haven J. Barlow and President Sheldon Child. Karen Larson gave a musical selection of Somewhere My Love accompanied by Carol Brimley and the benediction was given by Bill Child. Dedication of the grave was by Gary Grant Workman and interment was in the Syracuse City Cemetery. Pallbearers were York Workman Hill, Douglas Freitas, Darren Bowman, Trevin Workman, Park Hill and Mark Huerta. Honorary pallbearers were they Syracuse 6th Ward High Priest Quorum. Funeral directors were Lindquist Mortuary. Legislative Coalition for the Handicapped, and has been a strong supporter of their activities.
