N. and Melissa Lee, aged 16 yoars. He returned home from Clover Valley with his father Thursday morning. Bro. Lee went into the house while "Jimy" went to feed the horses. Shortly after this one of the children discovered I Lim near the haystack dead. It is supposed that h fell from the stack onto a ,pitchforck, as there was a small wound on the breast Euch as a pitchfork would make. . "Jimy" was a cheerful, good boy of good habits; and his loss is keenly felt by all Funeral services ser-vices were held in the school house on the afternoon of the 17th. This is the third grown child Bro. and sister Lee have lost in abont six years. May God ive them strength to bear their trials. Foster Predicts a storm for tomorrow, to-morrow, and we are quite expecting expect-ing it A new strike has just been made by Spring Valley boys, on the Utah and Nevada line south west of Desert Springs. The mine is mostly in Utah, and assays have run up into the thousands. Some of Panaca's sons have a six months lease on a fraction of the main ledge, and expect to pull out with a v neat sum. The ore will be shipped direct to Salt Lake or thereabout It carries about $1100 gold besides the silver, and is a quartz formation, similar in appearance appear-ance to that of the De Lamar mines. The Phoenix Reduction Co. have added two 50 ton tanks to their leeching plant, and are now working work-ing 45 tons per day. They use the cyanide process. Two new brick houses have been lately erected in our town, greatly improving the appearance of that portion where they ara located. Max. |
