Show NEWS TO PUBLISH MILFORD VALLEY EDITION The regular edition of The Milford News on Thursday, October 27th, will be a feature edition containing a complete photographic and word story of The Milford Valley. Long known as "The Flats," in the past few years the Milford Mil-ford Valley has progressed rapidly, and is now a large-scale large-scale agricultural area with many thousands of acres under cultivation. In the feature fea-ture edition the "story of the valley" will be told, with articles being devoted to the pioneer families, the early-day early-day struggles, trials and tribulations, tribu-lations, and the modern large-scale large-scale development. Much of the material for the edition will be gathered and written by Milford High School students, under the direction di-rection of Mrs. LaVeta Holm, English and journalism instructor. in-structor. Cash prizes will be awarded the best articles written writ-ten by school students, with college journalism students and instructors judging the entries. Only sufficient extra copies of the Minora vaney n,aiuuii to care for our regular subscription sub-scription list and advance orders or-ders will be printed, so residents resi-dents of this area who wish to mail the edition to friends must place their orders early. Special attractive mailing wrappers will be furnished free for mailing out souvenir copies. |
