Show Wm, BURRISJURIED Impressive Funeral Services Over Remains Re-mains Aged Resident of Fifth Ward Held Last Sunday. Funeral services over the remains of William Burrls, an old resldont of the Fifth ward, were held Sunday In the ward meeting house. Tho services wero opened by tho singing of tho anthem, "Prayer Is the Soul's Sincere Deslro," n favorite hymn of the deceased. de-ceased. Prayer was offered by Bishop Morrill of the Seventh ward. Elder A. J. Hansen sang "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is. Calling," after which remarks wero mado by Elder Thomas Morgan. Mrs. Jano Thatcher sang, "I Know my Heavenly Father Knows." Frank Baugh sang. "O, My Father," and Elders El-ders F. A. Mltcholl and Wm. Hyde mado somo excellent remarks upon tho life of tho deceased. Bishop John Q. Adams also mado a short address. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Batt sang, "Shall We Meet' Beyond tho River," and prayer was offered by Elder Joseph Cowley. Tho remains wero Interred In the city cemetery, tho grave being dedlcatod by Thomas Morgan. |
