Show Approves Ordinance On Employee Jobs The new North Salt Lake patrolman pa pa- and new reserve officer eer were introduced to the city councilmen Monday night Jan 20 The new patrolman is Lynn Ray and the reserve re re- serve officer is Mr Powers A NEW city ordinance was passed by the North Salt Lake Lale city councilmen at the city council meeting Monday Jan 20 This ordinance states that No employee of oC the city of North Salt Lake shall be permitted per per- to hold any other part time or full time employment which will in any way interfere inter inter- fel fere e with his hours or efficiency em effi- clency in performing his duties duo du- ties for the city and in no event shall any city employee employed on a full Cull time basis be permitted to hold any other outside employment in excess of 28 hours per week Any city employee holding other employment shall dis dis- close the same to the city council and shall report the number of oC hours worked and the nature of oC said employment employ employ- ment 1 EVERY city employee shall be physically capable of performing per per- forming the duties which he heis heis is employed to perform and every regular city employee shall be required to submit to toa toa a physical examination at the commencement of his employment employ employ- ment and every two years thereafter or oftener if requested requested re- re quested by the city council All physical examinations required under this ordinance shall be given by a doctor prescribed prescribed pre pre- scribed or approved by the e city council and shall be conducted con con- ducted at the expense of the city The doctor giving the examination lon shall report the results thereof to the city council FAILURE on the part of r rany any employee to comply with any of oC the provisions of oC this ordinance shall be gr grounds for discharges discharge of employee I I Any who wilfully falls fails to disclose to the city council his part time or other employment shall be guilty of ofa ba a misdemeanor |
